Thank you all -- may God richly bless you! Ruth Reeder Dayton Doings Mrs. Faye Stone and daughter Beverly are house guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Verne Garrett. Mrs. Ruth Reeder is now recup- erating at home after her hospital- ization. She was able to attend the silver wedding anniversary of a son, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reeder of Beaverton, before going to the home of another son, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Reeder of Corvallis for a week's rest: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Galer Jr. were Sunday dinner guests at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Galer. Naomi Rebekah Lodge met Fri- day evening with the Noble Grand, Thelma Lyman, in the chair. There were very few present. This was their last meeting for the summer. They will start meeting again in the fall. Mrs. Lena Filer and daughter Charlotte attended a pot luck meeting of the Box Alums at Pacific University Saturday. They towed the Media Center and Harvey W. Scott Memorial Library on campus. Mrs. Filer was surprised to see all the ash in Forest Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Frances Kilgore went to Portland Sunday and were dinner guests at the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lester and family. On the way home they stopped at the Good Samaritan Hospital to visit Rudy Leppins who underwent surgery. They were real pleased to find him doing so well. Wednesday afternoon callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Callahan were Mr. and Mrs. George Freshour from McMinn- ville and Tom Howard from Day- ton. Hopewell SDA Church Clyde Payne, Bible Worker and Colpourter, living at Dundee, was the speaker for church hour June 21st. Vince Silcox of Brooks gave the special music. The offering was for Servicemen's Literature fund. A special fund and offering has been approved for redecorating the Jun- ior Room. A committee is planning and working for this project. Sabbath School highlights, Dal- les Barteli, Supt. Progress Report! Phyllis Keith, special music; Jef ' ., Pearles, Mission story by Faye" Stephens, Class Study on "Repair- ers of the Breach." Evelyn Byrnes attended the open house for Mrs. Bertha Blivens' 97th birthday at Salem Community Services Center Sunday 2-5 pm. The annual Camp Meeting at Gladstone Park will be July 11-18 for Oregon SDA churches. There is a Dorcas build there where various quilts and other articles are sold. The proceeds go for work in helping those in need. Next week, June 28, Elder Fred Hardin of Salem will be the speaker during church hour. Eileen Alsop-Bloom and husband Clarence of Portland were visitors at the Lowell Campbell home on Sunday evening June 22nd. The George Byrnes also were guests for the evening meal.
