The meeting was turned over
to Maudest Tongue who had the
lesson for the day. She told of her
visit to Williamsburg, Va a re-
stored colonial township where
the history, customs, and ways
!are recreated for visitors.

The Western Mennonite Wo-
men's Missionary and Service
Auxiliary met at the home of
Mrs. C .M. Bitikofer of Brush
College on Thursday, Feb. 4. They
are making preparation for an
auction March 13, at the Oregon
State Fair Grounds in Salem. At
present they are working on a
queen size quilt to be auctioned
at that time.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nisely of
Newberg were Sunday guests of
the Thurlo Gingerich family,
Marguerite and Kathy Nisely
having been weekend guests. Dur-
ing Sunday afternoon, the group
enjoyed airplane rides over the
valley, with Mr. Nisely pilotin~
his private plane. The view of
the mountains was magnificent
from above the clouds.

Wilson, Mrs. Lottie Boaz and
Mrs. Virgimia Franklin were

Cooper of McMinnville, a former
Wheatland resident.
Gregg Wright, garndson of
Mrs. Lenna Wilson, returned to
the home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Roy Wright of Tigard, from
six weeks training at Fort Ben-
jamin Harrison in Indiana, and
expect to leave for Thailand in
the near future. Mrs. Wilson was
a weekend guest at the Wright
home.
Sunday afternoon guests of
Virginia and Bertha Magness
were Mrs. Faye Hudson, Mrs.
Walter Rowley in charge. Every-
one is invited.
Saturday morning, Feb. 13, the
Evangelical Men of the Dayton
Pioneer Evangelical Church and
Unionvale and Hopewell Com-
munity Churches are planning a
tour of the Trappist Abbey in
Lafayette.
Mrs. May Rickey returned to
the home of her daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred C. Stockhoff on
Sunday, after a visit with rela-
tives in Kansas and Nebraska,
since in November.
Mrs. Dora Tittle, mother of
Mrs. Howard Steingrube, passed
away at the Salem General Hos-
pital Sunday evening, Feb. 7,
after a long iltness.
