BASKETBALL MEET MONDAY
The Dayton Grade School gym
was the scene of fun and excite-
ment for Cub Scouts of Dens 2
and 6 and observers, Monday aft-
er school. The boys were coached
by Randy Freeborn and Barry
Sullivan, from the high school.
After runrting through some of
the "warm-up" shots, a short
game was played. The "skins"
(called this because they played
without their shirts) beat the
"shirts" by a score of 14-7. There
were some fumbles, tumbles, a
few fouls, toss-ups and a 'lot of
perspiration as the boys played
enthusiastically and well.
Scouts who played were: Mike
Delaney, Mike Dummer, Larry
Hiemstra, Mike Litscher, Ronnie
Mosgrove, Daren Peterson, Larry
Ringnalda, Danny Schafer, Chris
Shelburne and Gordon Whitehead.
Bobby Phipps and Tommy John-
son substituted for Dana Norris
