W Mathias of New berg is guest speaker this week at the Unionvale Evangelical Church, each evening except Saturday, and the closing service will be Sunday evening, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend these services. Grand Island Mrs. Susie Douglas visited her sons Erwin, George and Leslie Douglas and their families on Sauvies Island on Sunday, and called on Mr. and Mrs; Curtis CUB SCOUTS "TANGLE" IN BASKETBALL MEET MONDAY The Dayton Grade School gym was the scene of fun and excite- ment for Cub Scouts of Dens 2 and 6 and observers, Monday aft- er school. The boys were coached by Randy Freeborn and Barry Sullivan, from the high school. After runrting through some of the "warm-up" shots, a short game was played. The "skins" (called this because they played without their shirts) beat the "shirts" by a score of 14-7. There were some fumbles, tumbles, a few fouls, toss-ups and a 'lot of perspiration as the boys played enthusiastically and well. Scouts who played were: Mike Delaney, Mike Dummer, Larry Hiemstra, Mike Litscher, Ronnie Mosgrove, Daren Peterson, Larry Ringnalda, Danny Schafer, Chris Shelburne and Gordon Whitehead.
