Dorssie Sifford is recovering from a hernia operation at tbe hospital in McMinnv~lle and Ed- ith Sohrweid is still in the Mc- Minnville hospital. The Home Extension has sent cards to these ladies so I know about their ill- nesses. If there is any Extension members have missed, please let me know so we can be sure and remember them. Blanche Williamson has sold her home near the old school and has purchased a mobile home near Jean and Jack Stopher from the Beebe's. Russell Peters, grandson of So- phie and Bill Hills returned to the States from Alaska last week and surprised his folks with his visit. He plans to stay around un- til after June 1 when he will mar- ry. Russell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peters of Forest Grove. The Lafayette Rebekahs met at the city hall last week for a so- cial evening. Ten members wre present ~t their annual "birthday nite." April 29th will be the Home Extension Spring Festival at the First Baptist Church in McMinn- villa. Don't forget to come down and see the many features planned for that day. Our group from Lafayette will be putting on a short skit and that should be worth the trip alone. Don't forget also that the 29th is the deadline for sending your money in to Dottle Shreve for the Tour which is slated for Tuesday, May 6. Lennie Nissen, Sophie Hills, Blanche Stewart, and Margaret Ericson attended the meeting of the McMinnville Rebekahs Tues- day evening. Lennie, Sophie and Blanche Stewart made a trip into Portland the first o~ the week to visit the retirement home of the Rebekahs and Odd- every service is a commemorative and reverent tribute to a loved one.
