Rainbow Girls Go To Salem Meeting Worthy Advisor Terra Lee, Cele Lynch, Cindy Pendleton, Darra Lee and Lisa Christenson accom- panied by the Mother Advisor Gayle Lee traveled to Salem Tuesday, April 10~h to a combined meeting of Cherry, Chadwick and Naomi Rainbow Assemblies. The meeting was a Grand Visi- tation by the Grand Worthy Ad- visor Gall Hamblet0n. Gail's trav- eling bee "Honey" bad been pre- sented to Dayton Assembly at their Friendship night meeting on March 26th by Amity Assembly. Since Dayton was the fourth as- sembly in this district to receive it, instructions directed them to take it to an assembly in another district. The three Worthy Advis- ors drew straws for the bee and Terra presented "Honey" to Na- omi Assembly of Dallas with in- structions to "keep her buzzin" until Grand Assembly'in June. Wednesday night Carol Arm- strong, Grand Confidential Obser- ver, Sue Newcomb, Cindy Pendle- ton, Debbie Qsburn and .Annette May attended Friendship Night at Sherwood Assembly. WH EATLAN D Mrs. Adeline Underhill and Ger- ald Nicholdson of Dufur attended the graveside services for Alva THURSDAY, APRIL 26, 1973 m THE DAYTON TRIBUNE, DAYTON, OREGON -- PAGE 3 Goodrich of Bend in the Hopewell Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, April 21. About 200 relatives and friends attended the service. Mrs. Underhill remained until Wednes- day with her sisters, Virginia and Bertha Magness and Mrs. Annette Imlah of Salem was a Sunday guest. Easter guests of Mrs. Lenna Wilson-were Mrs. Nina Starts of Salem who remained until Mon- day, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Owen and daughter Gone Ann and Deb- bie Williams. Saturday guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Wright and family of Milwaukie. FORMER GRAND ISLAND RESIDENT HONORED Belle Wood gave a surprise party for her mother, Lulu Rock- hill, formerly of Grand Island, last Saturday, at the Clear Lake Lutheran Retirement Home where Mrs. Rockhill has resided for the past year. Visiting and recalling old times was enjoyed by all her old friends and neighbors followed by re- freshments of delicious Easter cake and punch. Those attending were the hon- ored guest Lulu Rockhill and her two daughters Belle Wood and Iva Ricky, Rose Stoutenburg and her daughters, Muriel Dodd of Arizona and Esther Palmer, Ce- cile Will, Grace Duren, Lyla Stien- grube and Pauline Fowler. DAYTON WCTU MEMBERS ATTEND CEREMONIES Four members of the Dayton WCTU attended the Oregon Mo- thers Citation Ceremonies for Mrs. Letha Wakeman of Eola Vil- lage, Oregon Mother for 1973, Thursday afternoon at the Mc- Minnville A m e r i c a n Baptist Church. They were Mrs. Veta Ste- phons, Mrs. Gracie Phelps, Mrs. Lena Filer and Mrs. Florence Fos- ter. During the afternoon they met Gov. Tom McCall who gave the citation to Mrs. Wakeman.
