JACK NULSEN
for County Commissioner
Elect N U LSEN
We Need Some Changes QUALIFIED
• BY GOVERNMENT SERVICE
Three-term mayor of Newberg, City Councilman,
Municipal Judge, former state legislature lobbyist
for the League of Oregon Cities, plus many other
civic contributions.
• BY OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
As a practicing attorney, Jack works daily with the
laws that govern us. He knows how to negotiate and
compromise, and he knows the ropes of county gov-
ernment.
CONCERNED
II [I IIII
• ABOUT TAXES Jack believes the people of Yamhlll
County have spoken. In the last budget elections,
county residents made it clear that county govern-
ment must do what its citizens are doing -- live
within our means.
• ABOUT PLANNING Jack believes in responsible
.planning, but feels that it is presently unrealistic
as applied to Yamhill County. Citizens must be able
to use and develop their property in a reasonable
manner, and the decision-making process must be
shortened.
• ABOUT RED TAPE Jack believes many county de-
partments have wasteful, time. consuming proced-
ures which are unnecessary. This red tape must be
cut back for government to function efficiently.
VOTE NULSEN
The Republican who can win tn November.
Paid by Nulsen for County Commissioner Committee,
817 E. First St., Newberg, Or. 97132.
Jack M. Crabtree, Treasurer.
For roll call each member gave the name and'told
about the state flower of the state they were born in.
This was quite interesting.
The lesson was on wild flowers. Lena Filer had a
collection of 11 wild flowers she had growing in her
yard and told about them.
Blanche Anderson won the door prize. ~The June
meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Vivian AbdiU and
the lesson will be on the culture and care of roses.
Mrs. Lippens made the colorful year books and they
were distributed and filled in during the meeting.
Meeting adjourned. Everyone had a lovely afternoon.
