The number of families now
on the Housing Authority wait-
ing list for assistance under the
Section 8 Program is such that
there is no reasonable prospect
that additional applicants can be
issued Certificates of Participa-
tion within the next two years
for two and three bedrooms. It is
therefore necessary that the
Housing Authority suspend the
taking of further applications for
families who qualify for two and
three bedrooms after the date of
publication of this article. Ap-
plications will continue to be ac-
cepted from families who qual-
ify for assistance in one and four

fees for some
entries at fair
"The Oregon State Fair Corn
mission has voted unanimously to
eliminate entry fees for Floral and
Home Economics exhibits at the
1981 Oregon State Fair," according
to Dwight Butt, Fair Director.
"'Waiving these fees won't be an
economic hardship on .the Fair,"
Butt said. "Entry fees for Home
Economics, which jumped last year
from S0 cents or less to $1.00, and
Floral exhibits, totaled more than
$3,000 in 1980. Increases in ad-
mission and parking fees will more
than cover the loss of those fees.
Eliminating the Floral and Home
Economics fees may encourage
more people to enter and attend the
Fair," he added.
Entry fees have been paid for
open competition in Livestock,
Horses, Poultry, Amateur Art, and
Photography. No fees are charged
in Hobby, Crafts, Professional Art,
Agriculture, FFA, and 4-H compe-
tition.
The theme for the 1981 Oregon
State Fair is "More Fun in '81".
Dates for the Fair this year are
August 28 through September 7.
