Public Notice
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Board of Commissioners of
Yamhill County will hold a public
hearing on Wednesday, June 13,
1979 at 10:00 a.m Room 105,
County Courthouse, McMinnville,
Oregon, to consider adoption of
Ordinance No. 203, "Amending
the Yamhill County Comprehensive
to Incorporate the Willamette River
Greenway Boundary, and amend-
ing the Yamhill County Zoning Or-
dinance by creating a Willamette
River Greenway District and In-
corporating the Willamette Green-
way Boundary".
Ordinance No. 203, if adopted as
proposed will (1) Amend the Coun-
ty Comprehensive Plan by placing
the existing Willamette River
Greenway Boundary previously
adopted by the State of Oregon
Land Conservation and Develop-
ment Commission (LCDC) on the
County Comprehensive Plan Map;
(2) Amend the County Zoning
Ordinance by placing said bound-
ary on the County Zoning Maps;
and (3) Amend the County Zoning
Ordinance text by adding a Wil-
lamette River Greenway District.

standards, criteria, and review
procedures designed to protect and
preserve the Greenway for private
and public use as required by
LCDC Statewide Planning Goal No.
15-- Willamette River Greenway.
Ordinance No. 203 does not
create the Willamette River Green-
way Boundary since said Boundary
has already been established by
LCDC on October 21, 1977. Also
Ordinance No. 203 does not change
said Boundary.
Persons are hereby invited to
attend the public hearing to ob-
serve the proceedings and to reg-
ister any statements in person, by
attorney, or mail to assist the Board
of Commissioners in making a de-
cision. A copy of Ordinance No. 203
and accompanying exhibits are
available for public review in the
office of the Yamhill County De-
partment of Planning and Develop-
ment. For additional information

PUBLIC NOTICE
Initial planning is in process to
develop a County transportation
system for the 1979180 fiscal year.
The proposed system currently ne-
gotiated would include two com-
muter runs, one round trip from
McMinnville to Salem, and two
round trip runs between Newberg
and King City. The system would
also provide in-town transportation
in Newberg and McMinnville.
These services would be provided
by Yamhill County contracting with
the following agencies: Hamman
Bus Line (McMinnville-Salem
commuter), Chehalem Valley Sen-
ior Citizens Council (Newberg-
King City-commuter and Newberg
in-town service) and Yamhill
County Council on Aging (Mc-
Minnville in-town bus service).
Public comment on this issue is
requested. Public hearings will be
held on June 18, 1979 at 1:00 pm
and June 19, 1979 at 7:30 pm in
Yamhill County Courthouse Rm.

Family night pot luck was held at
the Pioneer Church last Wednes-
day evening.
