' finance work session
I
The Yamhill County Board of Commissioners is
sponsoring a Small Business Finance Work Session next
Wednesday, June 18 at 2:30 pm. The session will be held
in Room 32 of the Yamhill County Courthouse, 535 NE
5th Street, McMinnville.
Two business finance professionals will describe vari-
ous financing programs available to Yamhill County
businesses.
John Safstrom from the Mid-Willamette Council of
Governments (COG) will explain the commonly used gov-
ernment finance programs. These federal, state, and local
financial incentives are designed to help companies expand
or start new ventures by making low interest loans or loan
guarantees. COG's services to business include: loan
packaging and assistance services for all government loan
programs at a single location and assistance with obtainin(-
financing from private sector lenders.
Mary Smith from Cascades West Financial Services
will explain the "micro-loan" program, which is also
available to start-up businesses and the SBA 504 loan pro-
gram for more mature companies.
For more information call the Courthouse at
503-434-7501.
Yamhill County Commissioners are Kathy George,
Leslie Lewis and Mary P. Stern.
