June 16 at her sister, Ella Gibson's
home in Laurelwood, Ella and
Marshall Gibson are soon moving
to northern California to make their
home with his son Milton. A fare-
well dinner was given for all the

Bob Drawdy and daughter Nancy
of Fayetteville, Georgia, spent a
few days with his parents, the Carl
Drawdys last week. Bob is a pilot
for Eastern Airlines.
Mrs. Freda Grunewald, mother
of Mrs. Rudolph Fischer, under-
went surgery last week and is
recovering satisfactorily at the Mc-
Minnville Hospital.
William Pearse and Mrs. Mary
Cummings of lone were Father's
Day weekend guests of Mr. and
Mrs. N. O. Pearse. They enjoyed
dinner Sunday in Salem. William is
now employed in Boardman.
Mr. and Mrs. N. O. Pearse called
on John Snellman, Mrs. Freda
Grunewald and J. W. Versteeg in
the McMinnville Hospital Monday
afternoon.
Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm,
softball is being played by all the
children of the neighborhood at the
Hopewel] School with parents su-
pervising. All children are wel-
come.
A paper drop at the Hopewell
School is sponsored by the students
of the 6th grade of the Hopewell
School and proceeds are used for
the activities of the summer at the
school grounds.
Sherry and Donna Rae are coun-
sellors this week at the 4H Summer
Camp at Camp Yamhill. Heidi
Ediger and Toni Sargeant are
among the club members attend-
ing.
Mr. and Mrs. Elton lngram went
clam digging at Seaside on Thurs-
day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Withee are
houseguests of Mrs. Margaret
