THURSDAY, JUNE 241 2004 -- THE DAYTON TRIBUNE, DAYTON, OR 97114 --- PA E ,3
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ANNUAL SEWER RATE INCREASE
The Dayton City Council will hold a public bearing on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 6:30 pm at the
Dayton Fire Hail, 408 Ferry Street, to provide an opportunity for public input on a planned 3%
increase in sewer rates which will become effective with the July 25, 2004, bill. The rate for a
single family home will increase from $17.40 per month to $18.00. All other sewer rates will
increase by 3% as well. The purpose of the increase is to help assure that rates will keep up with
the rate of inflation and will be sufficient to cover the costs of providing these services. Provision
for an annual sewer rate adjustment was adopted by the City Council by Resolution #98/99-01 dated
July 6, 1998. Interested persons are encouraged to attend the meeting and provide comments. Written
comments may also be submitted and must be received by 5:00 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at Dayton
City Hall, 416 Ferry Street (PO Box 339), Dayton, OR 97114. Questions - contact Sue Hollis, City
Administrator, (503)864-2221, during regular business hours.
