Hopewell SDA
Church News
Sunday July 16th at 9-12 noon
the Oregon Conference Consitu-
ency meeting was held in the large
Tabernacle, Delegates from Hope-
well Church were Dallas Bartell,
Lowell and Faith Campbell.
At 1:30 to 4 P.M. A Centennial
parade was held--the various chur-
ches had banners and floats with
their name and year they were
founded. A very interesting 100
years program noting the high-
lights of the time since the first
Camp Meeting was held in Oregon
in 1878. At 4 pm the annual Book
Sale by Adventist Book Center took
place in the large pavillion.
At 7:30 P.M. preceeding the
evening program Governor Bob
Straub spoke. He was accompanied
by his wife Pat who also had a short
talk. They noted the humanitarian
work done by our Church for the
community. Those who have at-
tended and stayed at Gladstone the
entire week are the Waldo Makers,
and the Ted Jennings. Many others
have gone each day or on both
weekends.
