All entries for the Yamhlll Coun-
ty Fair must be in by the deadline
3uly 26th. The fair office will be
open until 5 pm that day to take
last-minute entries.
Applications For
City Positions On
Ballot August 15
Nominating petitions are now
available at the Dayton City Hall
for names to be placed on the No-
vember ballot for mayor and coun-
cil posts.
There will be three council po-
sitions up for election as well as the
mayor's post. Council terms are for
four years, while the mayor's term
is for two years.
Filing deadline is Aug. lS and
petitions may be turned in at
Dayton City Hall.

city's birthday and the speech was
read into the Congressional Rec-
