The groom of 1789 NW 137th Ave., Portland is the son of Richard and Shelby Bornac of Portland. The bride carried a.bouquet of carnations and tiger's lily and colors for the occasion were lavender, yellow and white. The bride wore a lace gown and wide- brimmed lace hat. Matron of honor was Brenda Fay Thompson, the bride's younger sister, who was married three weeks ago. Bridesmaids were Pamela Scott, Carol Kennedy, Robin Damore, and the groom's sister, Julie Bornac. Best man was Terry Hancock and ushers were the bride's brother, Brent Sullivan; Bob Kennedy, David Adrian and Brian Harris. The couple are at home at 13210 Lakewood Dr., NE, A urora. The bride is a graduate of Dayton High School ar/d Linfield College and is presently employed as an Avon district sales manager. The groom is a graduate of Sunset High School in Beaverton and the University of Oregon. He is an inventory control specialist for Instromedix in Beaverton. Honored guests at the ceremoney were the groom's grandparents, Mrs. Dorothy Bornac and Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Kerby, Peoria, Illinois and the bride's grandparents, Willis and Josephine Sullivan of Amity. The bride's brother, Barry Sullivan was unable to attend because he was in Peru on vacation. Anniversary slated Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Woodward will be honored on their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house reception Sunday, Aug. 8 at the recreation hall at Old Stone Village, Three Mile Lane, McMinnville. Friends and relatives are invited to attend between 2 and 4 pm and the couple requests no gifts. Hosts for the reception are the children of the honored couple. Selma Allen and Clifford Woodward were married in Vancouver, Wash., in 1942. He is retired and formerly worked for Hudson House and Penland Gravel. Mrs. Woodward formerly was employed by St@ton Canning Co., telephone company and Home Laundry. The couple have 22 grandchildren and 20 great grandchil- dren. 'Annie Get Your Gun' on stage at Gallery Gallery Players is presenting the musical "Annie Get Your Gun" which began Aug. 5. The musical will run Thursdays through Sundays, through August 29th. Friday, Aug. 20 will be a benefit night for the McMinnville Kiwanis; Thursday, Aug. 26 will be a benefit for the Yamhill County Democrats; and Friday, Aug. 27 will be a benefit for the Yamhill County Hospice. Mrs. Dorothy Ford accompanied Mrs. Marie Benjii- min of Amity to Roseburg last weekend where they were guests at Mrs. Benjamin's grandson's wedding. He is Robert Paul and the bride's maiden name was Patty Links. Dorothy and Marie stayed for the reception and a visit with relatives there and returned Monday. Mrs. Betty Green of Fallbrook, Calif., spent ten days with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Armentrout. She is Frank's sister. While here they made several short sight-seeing trips. Mrs. Frank Armentrout returned last week from Sacramento, Cal., where she had been visiting her son and family after returning three of her grandchildren who had spent three weeks here. They returned home to California by Amtrak and enjoyed the trip very much. A new baby arrived at their home while they were visiting their grandparents here. Garden Club holds pot luck dinner in park The Dayton Garden Club met Monday for its annual pot luck dinner in the Dayton City Park. There were seven members present to enjoy a bountiful dinner. There was no lesson but a note from the Krake family thanking the club for the contribution to the Baptist Church was read. The September meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Audrey Lippens in McMinnville and the lesson will be on gladioli and it will be the second Monday because of Labor Day. Hilma Garrett was remembered at the meeting. KROWELDEEN CLUB MEETS IN SUMMERFIEL~ • ............... Kroweldeen Club met last week at the home of Mrs. Sophia Sherman in Summerfield. Winners were Verlee Howard, Ann Budke, and Rita Beal. Mrs. Beal and Myona Gray were guests. Refreshments were served during the evening. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Ann Budke.
