Mr. and Mrs. Robert Callander
spent the past weekend in Van-
couver, B.C. to take their niece
Mrs. George Nielsen and family
of Dundee, Scotland, to the air-
port, to return to their home.
They had been guests of the Cal-
landers and of other relatives in
Post, Texas for six weeks.
Sunday evening guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Callander were
Mr. and Mrs. James Ferry and
Mrs. Bob Ferry of Manchester,
England, and Mr. and Mrs. David
Holmes of Dallas.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Rasaka re-
turned August 7 from a month's
trip to Finland, and visited Mrs.
Rasaka's mother, Mrs. Alma Aho-
la of Helsinki during their stay.
They did a lot of sightseeing and
visiting relatives also, making the
trips around Finland by air.
Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Stephens
and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Stephens
of Yakima, Wash enjoyed sev-
eral days vacation at Pacific City
this past week.
Wednesday guests of Mrs. Lena
Olke were Mr. and Mrs. Phil Suva
of Carlton and their guests, Mr.
and Mrs. William Mattila Jr. of
McKinleyville, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crites of
Amity visited Mrs. Veta Stephens
on Thursday evening.

of the Evangelical Church met
at the home of Mrs. Ellen Brooks
last Thursday Aug. 2. Mrs. Shir-
ley Dittmer was co-hostess.
Mrs. Tom Hedgecoke had the
lesson and Mrs. Alice Armstrong
the missionary emphasis. Deli-
cious refreshments were enjoyed
during the social hour.
