Cook, district minister from Brooklyn, New York, speak on the subject, "How the Kingdom of God Af- fects You." Considerable interest centered around Cook's remarks about the Kingdom of God being a real government. He said, "Christ has exercised overriding authority in the 'Kingdom of Mankind' since 1914 C.E. and will shortly take further action that will be evident to all. This will result in the removal of worldwide wickedness and law- lessness, resulting in an earth- wide paradise, the raising of the dead, the complete education of manld'nd in the ways of peace. The purpose and objective of God's Kingdom government is to restore mankind to a fine rela- tionship with God." A high point of the two-day Bible training period was the Sun- day morning Bible discourse on the subject, "Continuing Faith- ful in Christian Baptism." After answering two questions in the da,tes were escorted to a public swimming pool and immersed in water in symbol of their dedica. tion. It was stated by a Watch- .tower official that over 297,000 entered the ranks of this preach- ing Society of ministers during 1974. Final Rites Held For Mrs. Verda Duzan Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon in Prine- ville for Mrs. Verda Duzan, 82, a former resident of Dayton. Interment was at Juni. per Haven Cemetery. Mrs. Duzan lived in Dayton for many years and was a graduate of Dayton High School with the class of 1911.
