host, Electa Chapter No. 29, a lot
of defferent and exciting things
take place. Because there is a
.shortage of nights, many Eastern
Star Chapters meet on the same
night -- in this case, the 2nd and
4th Tuesdays. So it came to pass
that welI over 100 members au-
tographed the .'tally' sheet, who
don't see each other on regular
nights, got together on Sept. 30th,
a 'fifth Tuesday', and what a
party it was.
Chadwick Chapter No. 37, cha-
peroned by Sister Monnie Haus-
er, PGM, brought 17 members
exceeded only in the head count
department by the host chapter,
Electa No. 29. In the runner-up
blems' in and befitting remarks
were made at each star point
with reference to the Biblical
background. A wide variety of
numbers ranging from musical
to comical to ridiculous were in-
ter-woven in~o the evening of fun

represented by members from

visiting Worthy Matrons and
Worthy Patrons were introduced
and seated in the East. The en-
vironment being a bit on the
warm side, the host Worthy Pa-
tron set the example by removing
his jacket, a gesture well accept-
ed by visiting brothers and quite
appropriate for a 'fun night'. The
'good of ,the order' was brief and
met the approval of visitors in
the East who normally are ex-
pected to put nice words tog'eth-
er, but this time the Worthy Pa-
tron decided to give them a
night off. The Past Grand Ma-
tron, during the years 33-34.
spoke of her years as leader of
the Order of the Eastern Star and
her visits to Electa Chapter in
years long gone. When Chapter
was closed, there was quite a hur-
ried exit to the cooler dining
area where cold punch, coffee
and tea awaited those addicted
to the habit, plus delicious sand-
wiches and cookies. Good fellow-
ship reigned supreme while
munching the 'goodies' and all
proclaimed this 'fifth Tuesday' a
real success.
