The Dayton Pirates ended the
season at home in a non-league
penalties in the first half which
nullified~ tw0~ touchdowns.

The Pirates started strong scar-
ing 24 points in the first quart-
er. They took the opening kick-off
and drove down the field. Barry
Sullivan ran the last 7 yds. for
a TD. Roger Lorenzen threw to
Tim Freeborn for the PAT. The
next time Dayton got the ball
they ran four plays before Bar-
ry Sullivan ran 11 yds. for an-
other touchdown. Brent Sullivan
ran for the PAT. Clatskanie again
had to surrender the ball and in
one play Dayton had another
score. Charlie DePietro ran 58
yds. for the TD. Barry Sullivan
ran for the extra points.
Dayton had a total of 171 yds.
rushing in the first quarter.
The second quarter was a bit
tougher for the Pirates. They
picked up 93 yds. rushing but
only one TD. Barry Sullivan ran
14 yds. for the score. The pass
for the PAT failed.
The Pirates suffered 80 yds. in
TD. A run for the PAT failed.
Dayton rushed for a total of
356 yds. They threw for 54. Clats-
kanie ran for 120 yds. and passed
for 62 yds.
Dayton ended the year with a
7-2 season.

for awhile consisted of Potter,
Albertson and Stanley, a guard,
center and tackle. They each car-
ried the ball and picked up yard-
age. Stanley gained 13 yds. Then
Dayton put David Stanley who
happens to weigh 230 lbs. in at
quarterback. Out of the shotgun
Stanley hit Bobby Richardson for
a 20 yd. touchdown. The run for
the extra points failed.
Clatskanie came back and ran
