NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN thalt the YamhiLl County Board of
Commissioners will hold a final PUBLIC HEARIN3G on January 21,
1976 at 10:00 A.M. in Room 32, County Courthouse, McMinnvflle, Or.
.to RECEIVE and CONSIDER PUBLIC TESTIMONY on the YAMHILL
COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE, 1975.
The Zoning Ordin'ance was prepared with the assistance of a num-
ber of citizen advisory committees working throughout the County.
It will be adopted to implement .the Yamhill County Comprehensive
Plan, 1974 and wil ,have effect on all properties located in Yam-
,hill County. All persons are hereby invited to attend this ptrblic hear-
~ng to observe the proceedings and to register any statements in per-
son, by attorney, or by marl to assist the Board in making a decision
to adopt the Zoning Ordinance.
Copies of the Zoning Ordinance are avaihble for inspection at all
public lgyraries and city halls throughout the County and in the Yam-
hill County Courthouse in McMinnville.
For additional information on the Yamldll County Zoning Ordi-
n'anee, please contact the County Planning Department or ,the Board
of Commissioners, County Courthouse, McMinnville, Oregon (472-9371).

The Hopewell and Union~ale
Community Churches Christmas
program will ,be presented Sun-
day evening, Dec. 21 at 6:30 pm,
a.t the Hopewell Church. A Christ-
mas play by the youth group and
special music will be the features
of the evening. Everyone is cor-
dially invited to attend.
A Christmas Candleligh.t serv-
ice was held at the Hopewell
Community Church Sunday eve-
ning, Dec. 14, with the Unionvale
Church cooperating. Rev. Charles
Ludwig, pastor of the churches,
was in ,charge of the service.
The Council of Administration
meeting of the Hopewell Com-
munity Church was held Monday
evening, Dec. 15 to plan the pro-
gram for 1976, begin budget work
and nominate officers for the
coming year, who will be elected
at the Congregational meeting in
January. The Unionvale Council
of Administration will meet for
the same purposes on Thursday
evening, Dec. 18.
Tuesday at 1:30, the Unionvale
Evangelical Women held their
Christmas party at the home of
Mrs. Neva Richards. Secret Sis-
ters were revealed, and new of-
ficers for the coming year elect-
ed. Christmas refreshments were
served.
The Hopewell Ladies Aid held
their Christmas party at 1:30 pm
Wednesday, gDec. 17, followin
quilting during the morning.
Rev. Charles Ludwig, pastor of
the Church, gave a Christmas les-
son before the Christmas refresh-
ments were served. There will
be no meeting on Dec. 24.
Sunday morning worship serv-
ice Dec. 21 at the Hopewell Com-
munity Church will be at 10 AM,
and the Unionvale service at 11
am. A Love and Sacrifice offer-
ing will .be .taken to help the new
E a s t Vancouver, Washington
Community Church furnish their
new building, which was dedicat-
ed Dec. 7.
The Western Mennonite High
School Christm~ program with
bands and choirs was presented
Thursday evening, Dec. 18.
Elder Robert Letcher of Port-
land was guest speaker at the
Hopewell SDA Church Dec. 20.
Monday, William Lee 'and son
William Jr. took a truck loda of
clothing and other supplies to the
Pacifico Collegio, Navajoia, Mex-
ico, .about 400 miles south of the
border on the west coast of Mex-
ico. Ten or twelve studen~ of
Laurelwood Academy are spend-
ing their Christmas vacation help-
ing with building and other work
at the college. This is a~ annual
event. The Hopewel SDA Dorcas
Society cooperated with clothing,
bedding and other necessary ar-
ticles.
The Hopewell Home Extension
Unit held their Christmas,party
at the home of Mrs. William Cal-
lander in Bethe on Tuesday, Dec.
16. Mrs. Carl Wood.and Mrs. El-
ton Ingram presented a Christ-
mas program in the morning, and
a potluck dinner was served at
noon. In the afternoon, Mrs. Don
Miller, Chairman was in charge
of the business .session, and a
gift exchange was held, and also
gifts were brought for the girls"
at the Hillcrest Home in Salem.
Mrs. Lizzie Withee, who suf-
fered a mild heart attack recent-
ly, came home from the McMinn-
ville Hospital on Tuesday, Dec.
9, and will be a guest of her son,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Withee for a
couple of weeks. She is recover-

ing satisfactorily.
Mr. and Mrs. Bobert Polvi and
family of San Leandro, Calif
were guests of his mother, Mrs.
Esther Polvi and other relatives
over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gage of Falls
City were Sunday guests.
Saturday guests of Mrs. Mar-
garet Janzen were Mrs. Elmer
Kotka, Mrs. Brian Humphreys
and Mrs. Julianne ~ayes and son
Micke of Salem, and Mrs. George
Kirkwood and son,s of Hillsboro.
Mrs. Katherine Hall of Rising
Sun, Maryland, who has been a
guest of her daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. M. L. Hodgson for the past
six months, left Thursday for her
home with her son, Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Cornwell of Rising Sun,
Md.
Mr. and Mrs. N. O. Pearse re-
turned Friday, Dec. 12 from a
three week trip to Southern
California. They visited their
grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Randy
Pearse and daughter Kathy of
Citrus Heights on their way
south, and his sister, Mrs. Ruth
Benner in the 1000 Oaks Conval-
arium, and nephew, Mr. and Mrs.
Dick Benner of 1000 Oaks, and
his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Burnie
Benner and family of Huntington
Beach, and were guests of his
niece, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Mac-
Minn of West Covina. They vis-
ited friends in Pomona, Ontario
and Hemet during their stay.
They attended the Homemakers
Sunday School Class at the First
Baptist Church of Pomona, which
they attended from 1921-1932,
when they moved .to Oregon. Mrs.
Pearse ~ttended the Christmas
Tea of the Dorcas Circle of the
Class on Thursday, Dc. 11. On
the way home they visited Mre
Olive Lausten of Los Gates and
Mrs. Nadine Frey of Santa Rosa
high school, classmates of Mrs.
Pearse. They found :the weather
very pleasant, with just one day
of rain.
Mrs. Earle Coburn returned
home Monday from a Portland
hospital after a 10-day stay fol-
lowing surgery.

Mrs. Lenna Wilson returned
home this weekend from Tigard
where she was a guest of her
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Wright and family for several
weeks.
